Millennial Net Plans First-Ever Demonstration of 100-Node Wireless Sensor Network at Builconn 2005

Millennial Net Partners with WebGen to Spotlight Breakthrough Energy Management System

Burlington, Mass. – March 14, 2005 – Millennial Net, the leading developer of self-organizing wireless sensor networking systems, is planning a number of demonstrations and presentations at BuilConn 2005, which will take place in Dallas March 21-24, that reinforce the company’s leadership in the development and application of wireless sensor networking systems.

What: Millennial Net, Inc. will demonstrate the market’s first 100-node wireless sensor network at BuilConn, highlighting the company’s advanced solutions for the building and industrial automation markets. Millennial Net’s unique MeshScape™ system leads the industry in scalability, power efficiency and reliability. This demonstration is an example of Millennial Net’s real-world deployments, with networks installed across commercial building and industrial environments. The demonstration will be available at Millennial Net’s booth. Millennial Net is a Bronze sponsor of the event.

Millennial Net and WebGen Systems, a BuilConn Platinum sponsor, will publicly demonstrate the breakthrough wireless energy management system the two companies launched earlier this year. The system, which will be installed in both the Millennial Net and WebGen Systems booths at BuilConn, combines WebGen’s flagship energy-management system—Intelligent Use of Energy (IUE©)—with Millennial Net's Mesh485™, a wireless sensor network system for energy management. Mesh485 was developed specifically to replace RS-485 cabling, used extensively throughout commercial buildings for energy management and building automation applications.

Millennial Net Vice President of Marketing Mark Pacelle will address the company’s vision for mesh networks as a critical component in building automation on Thursday, March 23rd at 10am. Pacelle will address the steps Millennial Net is taking to advance the development and implementation of wireless mesh networks in the building and industrial automation spaces. He will offer several case studies of successful deployments in building automation and describe the steps Millennial Net is taking to realize the promise of wireless data communications in the creation of intelligent buildings.

Where: Booths 418-420 at BuilConn, Adam’s Mark Hotel, Dallas. BuilConn is a unique event that unites all the individuals involved in building to take an objective and comprehensive view of the buildings industry, understand the technologies and trends that shape it, and discover the steps required to implement truly intelligent, integrated buildings.
