Millennial Net Appoints Michael Pearson to Direct Global Operations

Industry Veteran Brings Proven Record of Operations Success to Leading Wireless Sensor Networking Company

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sept. 22, 2003 – Millennial Net, Inc., the leading developer of hardware and software for self-organizing, wireless sensor networks, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of Michael Pearson as director of operations. In this capacity Pearson will focus on scaling Millennial Net's manufacturing capabilities and executing new supply chain strategies to meet the growing global demand for the company's ultra-small, ultra-low power, wireless sensor networking i-Beans® .

Pearson brings more than 20 years' experience directing manufacturing processes and supply chain management in high-growth environments. In his role as director of manufacturing operations, he established and directed the manufacturing process at Giganet, Inc., a leading provider of network solutions, which was acquired by Emulex Corporation for an estimated $650 million. Earlier in his career, he worked at Xylogics, acquired in 1995 by Bay Networks, where he achieved superior on-time shipping performance and inventory accuracy while reducing kitting time and floor space use.
