Industrial-class Wireless Mesh System Now Available for Worldwide Deployment

Millennial Net Releases New 2.4GHz Products Optimized for Low-power, Large-scale Wireless Sensor Networks

ISA EXPO, Chicago – October 25, 2005 - Millennial Net, Inc. today announced the release of its new 5424 family of 2.4GHz wireless mesh software, modules, and gateways. The 5424 product family is optimized for worldwide deployment of commercial and industrial-class wireless mesh networks. This extends Millennial Net’s flagship MeshScape™ wireless mesh networking system, to operate worldwide on a variety of radio platforms and microprocessors.

The new platforms and product family reinforces Millennial Net’s lead in large-scale industrial and commercial installations as the company continues to build a base of deployed networks in challenging environments such as hotels, office buildings, factory floors and industrial facilities. MeshScape powers some of the largest wireless mesh networks in the market, supporting industrial and commercial needs including predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, hotel guestroom control management, utility equipment sub-metering, building envelope integrity assurance, and energy use reduction.

Millennial Net’s MeshScape system has been extensively deployed in large-scale, industrial-class wireless networks, scaling to hundreds of nodes and demonstrating best-of-class power efficiency, robustness, reliability, and dynamic routing performance. The MeshGate gateway is available in stand-alone or embeddable configurations on both Windows XP and Linux platforms, allowing OEM’s simple and quickly integrated connectivity options to manage wireless sensor nodes from existing SCADA and asset management systems. MeshScape 5424 also provides OEMs a proven, high-reliability mesh system on a IEEE 802.15.4 radio and a single SKU for worldwide deployments.

“With the new 5424 offering, we’ve focused on satisfying our OEMs’ needs for fast, cost-effective integration of wireless sensor networking into industrial-class and commercial applications on a world wide basis,” said Tom Cunneen, vice president, sales and marketing at Millennial Net.

Reference kits and additional 5424 and MeshScape product information are available online at www.millennialnet.com.

ISA Expo attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about Millennial Net. Sokwoo Rhee, co-founder and chief technology officer of Millennial Net, will discuss keys to meeting real-world wireless sensor networking demands for efficiency and capacity during session E258 on Tuesday October 25 at 3:45pm.
